When you read this, know that you are within a short drive to a destination that
could change your life for the better. Today most people are at a crossroads, going one way or the other. How does one choose the best way for them to go? A journey that may have begun a long time ago, or maybe you’re in mid-life, or are a young couple just starting out. Whatever direction you fit into is at your doorstep.
How is it possible to digest and understand which direction to take on the crossroads of life? Are the possibilities endless? Where does one start? Who might have the answer? Is it too late for me? Am I at the crossroads alone? What if one stumbles? How does one take that first step? Would a support group be there to help me on my journey? How does one learn to have trust? These and many other questions are all part of life’s journey! One step to begin the journey at your crossroads is to be totally honest with yourself. Make the time to reflect on where you are now. Ask yourself, what have I accomplished so far? Are there some
things you would have done different? This time with yourself and your thoughts will be very revealing. A wave of emotions will fill your mind and heart. Joy, Happiness, Sorrow, Tears, Regrets, Hope, Love, Prayer, Disgust, Rage, Vision, Acceptance, Gratitude, Gratefulness, Belonging, Giving, to mention a few.
This is not a one-time sit down with oneself! It will be an ongoing thought process and periods of adjustments to the rest of one’s life. Embrace this process often and one’s path on the crossroads of life will be one incredible and rewarding journey. You will share journeys with others along the way. Who knows...soulmates, friendships, mentors, will be formed. Conversations you have could mean
positive course changes in the direction one is going. One key to this journey, is to have an open mind and heart with each conversion and encounter that comes along.

Matthew 5:1–12
Saints Are Blessed in the Eternal Presence of Christ
“A great multitude … from all tribes and peoples and languages” cry out, “Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne” (Rev. 7:9–10). Faith-filled saints from every place and time with unified voices eternally magnify the Lamb of God. As His beloved children, we, too, “shall see him as he is” (1 John 3:2). Joined with the throng of angels and countless saints, we shall “serve him day and night in his temple” (Rev. 7:15). In our earthly tension vacillating between saint and sinner, faith and doubt, sacred and profane, we earnestly seek Jesus to calm our fears, comfort our spirits and forgive our sins. The Holy Spirit, through faith in Christ, propels us forward, fortifying us in Word and Sacrament, to our eternal home. In the midst of our constant struggle as believers, we need to be blessed. And so we are. The poor in spirit, the meek, the hungry, the thirsty, the merciful, the pure and the persecuted are all blessed, and we will most certainly inherit the kingdom of heaven (Matt. 5:1–12).0

Faith Returns Thanks to God and Worships Him in the Person of Christ Jesus
Jesus comes in mercy and, by His Word, heals you in body and soul. “Go and show yourselves to the priests,” for you are cleansed (Luke 17:14), and you are granted access to the Lord’s temple. It is “at Jesus’ feet, giving him thanks” (Luke 17:16), that you worship God, for Christ Jesus is your great High Priest; His body is the true temple. In Him, you “find rest, each of you in the house of her husband” (Ruth 1:9), for the Lord has “visited his people and given them food” (Ruth 1:6). The person of Jesus Christ lodges Himself in holy food — bread and wine for believers to eat and drink. You lodge where Jesus lodges; His Father is your God, His people are your people. Death cannot part you from Him because His death and resurrection are eternally yours through Holy Baptism. “Remember Jesus Christ, risen from the dead” (2 Tim. 2:8). As surely as death could not hold Him, so surely “the word of God is not bound” (2 Tim. 2:9). His Gospel is entrusted “to faithful men, who will be able to teach others also” (2 Tim. 2:2), so that you “may obtain the salvation that is in Christ Jesus” (2 Tim. 2:10). Such is the confession of faith for all the saints, who believe, teach and confess the one Lord and Savior — Jesus Chris OF THE LORD! Jesus is both the host and the food for the meal that we share. It is Jesus’ saving death that we proclaim whenever we dine together at the Lord’s Table, and this is what we believe:
With this congregation, I believe and confess:
If for any reason you cannot consume wine, white grape juice is available in the center ring of the individual cups. If coming to the altar rail is difficult for you, pastor and one of the communion assistants would be happy to bring you communion in the pews.

Our church offers a meaningful Christian atmosphere for people with special challenges. The program has been running continuously for over 50 years. We offer weekly Bible school on Saturdays from 10 am to noon during the school year. Each week the program includes time for devotion, sharing through prayer , Bible stories, singing, activities, and a light snack. We also have a week long VBS for the class during the Summer.
Our church has a very active LWML group that meets monthly. Beforw COVID, each Spring, the group has their major fundraiser making thousands of chocolate covered eggs for Easter. While this is an LWML project most of the congregation comes out to help make the eggs. Proceeds from the fundraiser go to support good works locally as well as mission work in other countries. In addition to the local activities some members participate in regional and national LWML activities.
We have a growing and active Stephen Ministry program. Stephen Ministries is a one-to-one lay caring ministry. Our congregation has several trained Stephen Leaders and a dedicated group of Stephen Ministers who are trained and actively serving the needs of our community.
